PHOTOJOURNALISM
Wedding photography has changed significantly over the last few years. Although the market for traditional wedding photography is still alive and well, more and more couples are looking for something different from what their parents had. Photojournalism is still a buzzword in the industry, but an increasing number of couples want a dual approach - photojournalism combined with interesting portraiture. They want photographs of the two of them interacting with each other and looking spontaneous rather than looking straight at the camera.

Couples are asking for "urban grunge" for their wedding protraits. Even the more reserved couples are looking for something different. This makes it more fun that ever to be a wedding photographer - clients are beginning to give their photographers complete creative license, not only with the types of shots, but also with locations.

As a photographer, navigating the jungle of gear that is currently on the market can be a daunting task. New cameras and technology are constantly being developed, and it sometimes difficult to know where to start. At the end of the day, the only thing that is important is that I choose a system that works for me. My camera, my lenses, and my computers are only the tools with which I can realize my artistic vision.
